Backstitch – finishing ends

To prevent the threads pulling loose at the beginning and end of a seam, use the reverse stitch on the sewing machine:
At the beginning sew about 1 – 1,5 cm, use reverse stitch to sew back to the edge, then start sewing forward as usual.

At the end once again use reverse stitch to sew back about 1 – 1,5 cm, then  forward to the edge.
